Achieving Charter Standard Status
Charter
Standard Community Club Status – Aug 2009
A Message From The Club's Chairman…
As you know, our grass roots junior football club exists
because of the demand for access to this great game, from the many youngsters within
our locality. Consequently, as a responsible club, we want to ensure that our
members are able to learn, play, and enjoy the sport, no matter what their
ability, in a safe and structured environment, befitting a club of this level.
Achieving this accolade has been a just reward for the many
unpaid hours given to our members and community, by all the dedicated voluntary
staff of the club. Much time has been spent by key officials to ensure that
appropriate policies are in place and are maintained, in certain crucial areas
such as administration and child protection among others.
Additionally, the quality of our staff has been further
enhanced with their attaining appropriate FA qualifications in coaching, first
aid, and child protection. This, when added to the expertise staff bring to the
club through their daily professions, such as teaching, accountancy, IT,
construction, and administration, to name but a few; further enriches the
quality of the staffing support that is available within the club.
Our commitment to our members and community has been
underwritten by our attaining this award, and in doing so, the club further
commits to continue to maintain these standards of excellence for the benefit
of our staff, members, parents, schools, and community. In return, we ask that everyone
connected assist the Club by continuing to display high standards of respect,
fair play, and behaviour in accordance with the relevant codes of conduct and
other regulations.
In the words of the English Football Association, this
nationally recognised standard,
“is a best practice guide that sets standards
in coaching, administration, and child protection for clubs working with young
people. As a bench mark for quality, it will improve the playing experience for
all.”
In acknowledgement, the club wishes to
thank all its staff, members, parents, supporters, benefactors, sponsors,
partners, schools, and community who have all helped the club in being able to
achieve this recognition; and with this continuing help, we hope to be able to
maintain this standard for future users of our club and their enjoyment. As
part of this club, we share with you, our joy on attaining this achievement!
We also wish to thank the Worcestershire FA and the Mercian
Festival Junior Football League for their continuing support of our club, which
in turns helps us maintain these high standards. If anyone wishes to find out
