Welcome to the Club Honours & Achievements Page

 

Since the club was founded in 2001, it has always prided itself on it continually being very successful in terms of enabling it’s youngsters to learn, play, and enjoy soccer, in a structured and safe environment, no matter what their abilities. From this starting point, the club, it’s staff, it’s members, and their parents have been able to use this success as a platform from which they have subsequently attained further honours and achievements, which are listed below in brief chronological order: -    

May 2003 – The L&BBFC Legends Friendly XI Tug of War team lift the MND Tug of War Challenge Cup.

July 2003 – The Worcestershire FA present Bosko Medakovic, Senior Coach, with its 'Volunteer Of The Year 2003' award, for services to the game.

August 2004 – The L&BBFC Legends Friendly XI lift the Burton Printworks Family Fun Day Football Challenge Cup.

 October 2004 – Leigh & Bransford Badgers FC is awarded Charter Standard Club status by the English Football Association.

August 2005 – The L&BBFC Legends Friendly XI are joint winners of the Burton Printworks Family Fun Day Football Challenge Cup.

February 2006 The L&BBFC U12’s Squad (& Parents) finish as Runners Up in the Mercian Festival Junior Football League’s 'Fair Play' Awards 2005/6.

March 2006The L&BBFC U8’s are crowned inaugural Champions of the Mercian Festival Junior Football League’s U8’s Division 2005/6.

June 2006 The L&BBFC Legends Friendly XI win the Burton Printworks Family Fun Day Football Challenge Cup.

April 2007 – The L&BBFC U10’s Wanderers finish as Runners Up in the Mercian Festival Junior Football League’s U10’s Talbot Page-Jones Trophy final 2006/7.

May 2007 – The L&BBFC U13’s Colts finish as Runners Up in the Mercian Festival Junior Football League’s U13’s Trophy World Cup final 2006/7.

May 2007 – The L&BBFC U9’s are crowned Champions of the Mercian Festival Junior Football League’s Under 9’s Division 2006/7.

June 2007 – The L&BBFC U13’s Colts win the Worcestershire FA’s Charter Standard Clubs U13’s Tesco Cup Tournament 2007.

June 2007 - The Worcestershire FA acknowledge Bosko Medakovic, Senior Coach, for his 'outstanding contributions to the game', awarding him county recognition under the FA’s Charter Standard Football Volunteers Workforce Programme 2007.

March 2008 – The L&BBFC U8’s Spurs finish the season as Runners Up in the Mercian Festival Junior Football League’s U8’s Division 2007/8.

April 2008 – The L&BBFC U9’s Rangers finish the season as Runners Up in the Mercian Festival Junior Football League’s U9’s Division One 2007/8.

April 2008 – The L&BBFC U9’s Rangers win the Mercian Festival Junior Football League’s U9’s George Goode Memorial Shield 2007/8.

May 2008 The L&BBFC U11’s Gunners finish the season as Runners Up in the Mercian Festival Junior Football League’s U11’s Division Two 2007/8.

June 2008 - The L&BBFC U12’s finish as Runners Up in the Welland Juniors Football Club’s 5 A Side Tournament 2007/8.

 June 2008 - The L&BBFC U13’s finish as Runners Up in the Welland Juniors Football Club’s 5 A Side Tournament 2007/8.

June 2008 - The L&BBFC U11’s Gunners win the inaugural Worcester, Bishop Perowne CE High School 5 A Side Tournament 2007/8.

 March 2009 – The L&BBFC U9’s Spurs finish as Runners Up in the Mercian Festival Junior Football League’s U9’s George Goode Memorial Shield 2008/9.

April 2009 – The L&BBFC U10’s Rangers finish the season as Runners Up in the Mercian Festival Junior Football League’s U10’s Division One 2008/9.

April 2009 – The L&BBFC U9's Spurs finish the season as Runners Up in the Mercian Festival Junior Football League’s U9's Division One 2008/9.

June 2009 - The Worcestershire FA acknowledge Carrie Chambers, Club Secretary & Members Registrar; Oscar Hooper, Assistant Coach; and Pat Lewis, Senior Coach – Girls, Futsal & Community, for their 'outstanding contributions to the game', awarding them county recognition under the FA’s Charter Standard Football Volunteers Workforce Programme 2008/9.

July 2009 – The L&BBFC U14's win the Worcester Youth FC's Soccer Tournament 2008/9.

July 2009 – The L&BBFC U10's Rangers win the 5th Oldswinford Youth FC's Summer Five-A-Side Tournament 2008/9.

August 2009 - The English Football Association acknowledge Pat Lewis, Senior Coach – Girls, Futsal, & Community, for his 'outstanding contributions to the game', awarding him national recognition under the FA Charter Standard Football Volunteers Workforce Programme 2009.

August 2009 - Leigh & Bransford Badgers FC is awarded Charter Standard Community Club status by the English Football Association.

March 2010 - Malvern Hills District Council acknowledge Leigh & Bransford Badgers FC, awarding the club recognition as it's 'Junior Club Of The Year' under the District Sports Awards 2009. In addition, Oscar Hooper is acknowledged as it's 'Young Volunteer of the Year', with Bosko Medakovic, Pat Lewis, and Carrie Chambers being recognised for their 'outstanding contributions' to local sport.

March 2010 - The L&BBFC U11’s Rangers win the Mercian Festival Junior Football League’s U11's Philip Jeynes Memorial Cup 2009/10.

March 2010 - The L&BBFC U11’s Rangers become the inaugural winners of the L&BBFC Fair Play Remembrance Cup 2009/10.

April 2010 – The L&BBFC U10's Spurs are crowned champions of the Mercian Festival Junior Football League’s U10's Division One 2009/10.

May 2010 – The L&BBFC U11’s Rangers are crowned champions of the Mercian Festival Junior Football League’s U11’s Division One 2009/10.

May 2010 – The L&BBFC U18's Myths win the Worcestershire FA's County Men's Futsal League Plate 2010.

May 2010 – The Worcestershire FA acknowledge Leigh & Bransford Badgers FC as their 'FA Charter Standard Community Club Of The Year 2009/10'. Also gaining recognition under the FA’s Charter Standard Community Awards Programme 2009/10 was Neil Coleman, Club Treasurer, Promoter, & Newsletter Editor, as the 'Volunteer of The Year', whilst his son Jack, a Young Volunteer Assistant,  was duly awarded the 'Young Volunteer Of The Year' award for their 'outstanding contributions to the game'.

June 2010 - The L&BBFC U11’s Rangers finish Runners Up in the Nunnery Wood Colts FC's 7 a Side Tournament 2009/10.

December 2010 – The L&BBFC U14's Villa win the Malvern Hills District Council's Community Sports Awards – Junior Team of the Year Award 2010.

March 2011 - The L&BBFC U10’s Athletic are crowned winners of the L&BBFC Fair Play Remembrance Cup 2010/11.

April 2011 – The L&BBFC U11's Spurs goalkeeper, Ross Grimshaw accepts terms offered by Cheltenham Town FC of the Football League, to play for their youth team.

April 2011 – The L&BBFC U12’s Rangers are crowned champions of the Mercian Festival Junior Football League’s U12’s Division One 2010/11.

 May 2011 – The L&BBFC U12’s Rangers finish as Runners Up in the Mercian Festival Junior Football League’s U12’s Ron Handy Memorial Shield 2010/11.

May 2011 – The L&BBFC U9's Olympic finish the season as Joint Runners Up in the Mercian Festival Junior Football League’s U9's Division One 2010/11.
